EVA Boxes vs. Cardboard Boxes: Which Better Protects Fragile Items?

Selecting the appropriate box can be critical when it comes to shipping delicate items. EVA boxes, cardboard boxes? A lot of people have been rummaging in their minds about what to use. HongJun Will Explain What Type of Box is Best to Protect Fragile Goods. Whether you are delivering delicate products or simply putting them in storage, it is essential that they arrive in one piece.

EVA Boxes vs. Cardboard Boxes

EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) boxes are constructed from a type of plastic that is soft and pliable. This stuff can absorb impacts very well, which will also help prevent things from getting broken or damaged during shipments. Cardboard boxes, however, come from paperboard. More people have them and get them easily. Cardboard Tool Case is rigid and, because it resists punctures and is able to hold weight, it offers a fair amount of protection, but it doesn’t handle shock as well as EVA foam.

Best packaging for fragile items explained in detail

There are few imperiled precincts more at loggerheads than “home” and “package.” When we think about shipping delicate objects, glass or ceramics, the packaging has to be very good. Eva Case tend to be better for these kinds of items as they have a bit of padding to help reduce the impact against any jolts or drops that the item might experience in transit. Cardboard boxes can be reinforced with additional cushioning, such as bubble wrap, but this won’t necessarily keep them from being crushed if handled haphazardly.

EVA BOXES VS. CARDBOARD BOXESSTRENGTH AND DURABILITY TEST

EVA is a very tough material that does not tear easily. It is water-resistant too, which can be a big plus if the package comes into contact with moisture. It's cardboard after all, solid but if it gets wet it needs replacing. It’s also more likely to tear, something that could be a risk if the box is snagged or mishandled.

Which Box Will Protect Your Breakables Most?

I learned from working at HongJun that EVA cases (I mean most of) provides better protection for delicate items over cardboard Electronic. They’re great for ultra fragile items that going to get tossed around and potentially damaged in transit. But for something that's not super delicate, it might do the trick, especially if lined with some cushioning.

EVA Case or Cardboard Case for Breakable Items?

In short, if you are sending anything which is fragile and has some worth, EVA is the safe way to go. They do offer a bit more protection from drops, and are even water resistant. Paperboard  packaging can be great for things that are not as delicate, and may not be as expensive, which can be good when shipping large amounts of goods. In the end the type of product and also the travel ability of it are both questions that should be asked when deciding which to utilize.
