Eva was incredibly brave and we also learnt she was in a frightening experience that no child would want to be in. One sunny day, she was hiking in the woods alongside her family. We had a nice even though ours parents were admiring beautiful trees and listenning to birds singing. But then something broke. Eva strayed a bit too far and lost her way. Now she was completely alone here in the dark, thick woods. It was only her and a feeling, and she had to rely on her own skills and instincts to keep herself to caught and make her way back home.
Eva wandered through the forest for many long days, searching for her family. She was really hungry, thirsty, and scared. She is fearful, but she does not surrender. She missed her family so much! She tried to look for marks on the trees to help herself find the way back. Those markings had served her well, but soon they evaporated, and she was lost. Eva was cold and very tired, she decided to build some shelter to keep herself safe. She collected leaves and branches off of the ground and made herself a tiny home to keep her dry from the rain and out of the wind.
It was going to be tough to survive in the forest and to not get killed, but Eva was ready. She knew that she would have to eat and drink something to maintain her energy. So she drank rainwater that pooled on the leaves and ate berries she found on bushes. They were all different, some sweet other sour, but they filled her stomach. She grew weaker and weaker with each passing day, but she never lost hope. Each night she slept in the leaf shelter, rested and dreaming of being reunited with her family. She pictured their faces, and how happy she would be to see them again.
Eva has finally been reunited with her family after days of wandering and searching! They had been searching everywhere for her and were quite concerned. They searched everywhere until they found her crying next to a river. Eva's heart soared when she reunited with her family. So she ran to them and hugged them tightly, feeling so happy that they were all together again. She had been all alone in the woods five days, and her courage and will made it possible for her to keep alive in that ordeal.
